My not interested list is suddenly empty
So I had over 10000 games on this not interested list(mainly due to crappy games and nonsense I'd never play being recommended to me on my discovery queue, and I go on steam today and find games I swear I marked not interested before appearing in my queue again.

Turns out my not interested list got reset back to 0, after the few years I've had it accumulating crappy games, this is absolutely irritating for me as now games I will never ever play will now rear their ugly head on the discovery queue for me again not to mention recommendations and the store page in general.

Steam, what made you think it was a good idea to reset the not interested list?

Same here, it's a shame, I made it over the years and it was huge, like really really huge (20-25k if I remember correctly). And now, Steam is showing me all the crap I had filtered.

Yeah, it annoys me too because now suddenly I'm getting recommended ALL the anime visual novels again, it's one of my worst nightmares made material.

Considering I am one who personally prefers roguelikes, open world and survival games and am someone who avoids visual novels like the plague, I find it irritating that I suddenly see crap like nekopara being recommended to me again when they were the first of the many games I marked as not interested.

Yup, me too. I'd basically had pretty much everything except the newest stuff that comes out marked as Not Interested.

I'm hoping this gets fixed.

I have a feeling it won't...

I'm just going to have to start marking every damn anime visual novel dating sim that steam idiotically recommends me as not interested again.

Safe to say I am not very happy about this.

Yeah, if they can't fix it, I'm going to be quite pissed. I had countless games on there, I don't want to have to go through marking all the crap off again.

It would be in their interrest to fix it, because I won't do it again, and it means that I will miss lots of new games. Their loss.

I contacted Steam support, we'll see what they say.

Me too, been exciting for new queue everyday, to sort out the trash and keep the hidden gems... And everything is gone because 3356 "Not lnterested" just invade back out of nowhere. FML

Wait and see if it is a server error. Mine is still there, just checked they are all there for me 15667 of them.

I know right?

When I saw call of duty in my queue again that raised a red flag for me, not to mention seeing nekopara and huniepop in my recommendations again(under tags that are completely irrelevent to them nonetheless) sure enough I saw my not interested list had reset.

Same situation here. This pretty much makes the Explore queue useless, because now the several thousands of games I've marked "Not interested" get mixed in with new releases.

Could be related to the overhaul of the whole filter system they announced a few months ago.
Guess the old "not interested" list will not work anymore with that new update so they turned it off in the last update.

Or its just some error, who knows.

Same here. When I opened the client and saw all that trash at the Store page again I suddenly felt like not using Steam anymore.

Over 26k games marked as not interested and now that list is back to 0.

I do wonder if it really is filter system overhauling or just an excuse to shove them garbage into our faces again, so they can milk the hell of out us. Even if it is true, one day in the future this would happen again and we all suffer
I'm done. Aug 29, 2018 @ 4:33am
Oh great so I'm not alone with this BS (I had 14k to 19k games marked.) Wtf...
Ogami Aug 29, 2018 @ 4:43am
I only had like 300 games on my list, so not that serious.
But 10-20k like i read here, ouch.
