So, I was wondering about this because I just ran into this setting again, myself, & went looking for information on it online.
This topic is the only result I could find about this subject - so what it's referring to is, under:
"Officer Tools"
>"Edit Group Permissions"
>>"...make the chatroom public or private?"
Now, I believe that option no longer exists in the chat settings - either that or I can't find it (& I'd like to if it's there). I believe this went away when we got the new chat interface sometime within the last 2 or 3 years. Now you just have to be a member of a closed or invite only group to join the chat, otherwise, everyone can join & that's just that.
Can someone confirm this, please?
