Age restrictions on games
Just wondering how the age restrictions on games work on steam. I see some where you have to veryfy your age and others that you don't. And I fully understand the point of age restrictions but I'm curious as to why a game like SCUM which has pooping, peeing and now just added nudity has absoloutley zero age restriction to it, is allowed to do that. You guys may want to rethink your ESRB guidlines.

Not sure how that's possible when pretty much every other early access game that has come out has age restrictions

lets put it simple: on digital distribution services (as much as im aware), unlike in retail, devs and publishers do not have the legal obligation to evaluate their game for age/ content rating, be it PEGI or ESRB. Many choose to however, regardless.

If you think a store page is incorrect in terms of not being age gated or such, report it. Sadly, valve relies on us instead of hiring people.

How do you report a page?

Don't even know why they have age restrictions on digital games. Most clued on gamers will give a false birthday to make themselves look older. And they is no way for steam or any other platform to know their real age. Its just legal jargon and red tape to me.
