ES is a web browser extension that adds some extra features to Steam.

Yeah, it provides a truckload of enhancements to the Steam website. I don't actually know what it does exactly, since I've been using it "since forever"... except for the links to external sites; I know that Steam doesn't provide those. But some enhancements are more subtle.

FAQ pages should give you some more information.

Just so everyone is aware, Enhanced Steam is going to be severely cut down next year. The API it uses is being taken offline at the end of January.

i expect valve to implement the features enhanced steam has like not showing owned games in store lists and other things into the regular client
they dont need to have the price comparison but the other thing should be there atleast

Well as stated in the blog post, Valve has started to aggressively implement requested features so hopefully most (if not all) of the best parts of ES are just rolled out on the store itself.

Unfortunately, one of THE most useful features of Enhanced Steam that I use all the time is the link to isthereanydeal right from the store page. I doubt Steam will implement that, as it's basically a link to a ton of competing stores.

I doubt that links to any third-party sites will be included.
