How do I continue downloading a game in Steam while playing?
I want to download some games but the download pause when i start playing, can i do something about it?

You can also do it on a per-game basis. Right click on the game and select Properties. Updates tab, middle section is labeled Background Downloads with a drop down menu. That menu has 3 options

1) Always allow background downloads
2) Never allow background downloads
3) Follow my global setting

You can also start a game, then alt tab and un pause the download.
