reporting a scam website

hi, since the steam support page is absolute trash to report a scamming website, i am just making a thread here and hope the best that it is seen by the right person.

today myself, and some of my clan members have received messages via the steam chat to visit "csg****oin.com" as visible in the screenshot.

looking at the login form revealed that the steamcommunity login is hosted on their own page instead of the usual openid login page that redirects to steamcommunity.com.

screenshot is showing an iframe containing the login form hosted on the (allegedly) scammers domain.

i would hope somebody could show me where to report this properly.

You should remove the website from the thread.

First of, the person who receved the scam links should report the user and include the website in the report.

Report phishing sites here: https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/
It's the easiest page for it and it helps the most users.

i am looking to report this to a valve in specific. the issue can be rather easily adressed by filtering the respective domain from steam chat to prevent further infections. but thanks for the suggestions anyways.

the user has of course been reported already.

There is really no need to advertise scamming websites on the forums. Even if you report it and it gets closed, another one opens right away, so there is pretty much no point in it. As long as there are enough dumb users that lack common sense, these scam sites will still be there.
