why is my steam profile set to friends only and still people can comment on my profile

I want to ask when i was playing MM non prime and i met this enemy that was cheating but he keeps saying he is smurfer GE. Once the game has ended and i saw my profile the guys which was hacking had comment my profile and please tell me how he can access my profile. I had set it to FRIENDS-ONLY. Why

If something is set to "friends only", and someone can use it, it stands to reason that this someone is on your friend list.

Why do you have comments set to public if your profile is set to friends only ? How is that even possible ? The only explanation would be that he has used a direct url or some enhancement plugin, because by default you can't see or add comments on profiles set to friends only without being on that friend list.

If your facts are right, I would rise a ticket to Steam support about this and suggest enforcing comments to friends only on profiles set in that way.

Has he commented on your profile or sent you a message through chat ? Cause from the changelog in CS:GO it said that you can send chat messages to people you have played with. So which one was it ?

Ok, that is very weird. I have upset a lot of people over time, but nobody has commented on my profile yet (set the same to friends only). I would ask Steam support, maybe they could investigate and find out how was this possible. I would also like to know.

If you set the profile to be view by friends only, how can a non-friend post in your comment on your profile, if the comments isn't visible?

When you set your profile to friends only, everything on your settings is automatically set to friends only, and you don't get the option to set to public, if profile is set to friends only. The only other option is view only by you, by setting it to private, which blocks everyone, that includes your friends from viewing your profile, and commenting on your profile.
