...when desktop shortcuts don’t work (WINDOWS)
HOW COME STEAM NOT FIX THIS ISSUE ALREADY? I'VE TRIED REINSTALLING THE CLIENT AND NOTHING HAPPENED.

But, here’s how to fix it (for Windows OS):
Click on PROPERTIES on a single .url file, and select "open with”, then select the default internet browser.

The above should fix the issue.

When trying to open apps directly from the desktop shortcuts, a message says that "no application is bind/linked to those files" (or something like that)
