Waiting for a Great Turn-Based and Party-Based D&D or Pathfinder Game

Wizards, Owlcat, are you listening? Something like Temple of Elemental Evil but polished in areas of story and dialogue. Divinity: Original Sin has the right idea and is mad fun. The only real-time (with pause) rpgs that were good were the Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale games. Tales from Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation is more of a board game (bored game?). Sword Coast Legends was the worst. Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear was okay, but not much original there. This is a void that must be filled. And please, a game that does not push average hardware to its limits like Bard's Tale 4 does, which is receiving mixed reviews. There's a reason that older games are more appreciated than modern ones. Any thoughts

Why limit the search to D&D? I guess it is fairly covered already so not top priority for publishers to try for yet another skin.

I love D&D rules and settings. A lot can be accomplished there. Why not go with a beloved franchise. I am sure there are thousands of gamers waiting for this. That's why the PIllars of Eternity and Bard's Tale kickstarters were so successful.

Wasteland 2? It's alright. But I want some D&D fantasy party action! Swords, sorcery, magic items and armor, level advancement, fantasy battle tactics, D&D monsters, challenging tactical battles, fantasy party strategy action baby! Please, is anyone listening?!

Thanks Mikhail, that's great if you have friends who want to play a live game. They still haven't made the single player PC game experience that I am seeking. Torment was a dud. Kingmaker has a lot of problem issues. It's that old-school quality that I'm seeking with some modern updates to improve on it all. I know there are devs that can do it! People have got to demand it. The overwhelming support for games with that old school feel on kickstarter speaks volumes!

You really need to join Turn-Based Tactics. Over 3000 strong and lots of like minds. Ive found a number of gems there. Also my favorite genre, sorta.

Im in the same position. yes, we got Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2 and also baldurs Gate 1,2 and now 3. Apart from this ones, I dont find any other purist Forgotten Realms games. Neverwinter its a bit obsolete tough. Dragon Age its not D&D and also not turn-based. So not really where to play apart from playing again and again Baldurs Gate 3
