Brotherhood is also good, but felt more like an expansion to 2 than a game on its own.. it is a direct followup to 2, taking place 5 seconds from where 2 left off..
Revelations is also interesting, but gameplay wise feels identical to brotherhood.. but it does bring a satisfying end to Ezio's character arc, but you will have had to play the original Assassin's creed to understand certain portions of the plot..
over all, I say they are worth a play!
They're not perfect, but you see your character grow from a new, young assassin in his hometown to the grizzled old methor that has travelled the world over. AND you get to see what happened to Altaïr after the events of the first game.
2 was amazing, Brotherhood does it for me. But it's the setting, Rome. Love it.
I've played the games on the 360, I'm thinking to purchase the remastered collection for the PS4.
