Jesus H Christ, do you think you're over doing it on the protection a little Steam ? Why the hell do I need to go through government top secret levels of authentication just to sign in ? What's next ? Do I need to buy a bio scanner to authenticate its me using my finger prints and then use a web cam to scan my retinas and then send in a DNA sample to verify who I am ?

What methods are these? Two-step verification is pretty standard. You could always just disable the extra step if it's such a massive inconvenience.

And guess what, people lose their accounts on those other sites all the time. I have to go through support so often for other sites, because after not using them for years, you find out there's been some security breach, origin, psn, etc, all had security breaches at some point.

I've already been authenticated mobile, but I guess at some point it turned off when I got my new phone, so now I have to wait for it to authenticate again, which won't be until after the cards expire so I won't be able to sell them anyway... any way around this?

The cards don't expire until the 6th of August.

Valve started to extend the expiration date on the trading cards for at least 1 month for users just like you.
