I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate when Store page gets removed from Steam.
There's so much useful info on the store page (Videos, Pictures, Game Description, System Requirements, Tags, Reviews, etc.)
When they removed original GRID, they also removed the whole Store Page.
If you miss out claiming your free copy, then not much can be done about it, as they gave Grid 2 away for free multiple times, on humble bundle, and Steam.
Yeah they removed Grid and replaced it with a game called Grid. I'm so done with that series now. Back to Forza and they still have a fair few listed on the MSStore.
Game developers create those cars in game. Why do they have to pay to car manufacturers to include their car to the game?
Having vehicle in a game that people like to play is one of the best advertisements car manufacturers can have.
They should pay money to developers for including their cars to a game.
Any developer can use any weapon in their shooter game without paying for license to weapon manufacturers.
But developers of racing games have to pay for car licences that they can use only for limited time.
It doesn't make any sense to me.
Copyright laws cover more than just media they include physical goods and even people's faces.
Forza Motorsport or Horizon?
It wasn't perpetual because the publisher could save money by paying less for a time limited license.
So, the game was pretty much doomed to be removed from sales before it was even released.
