The only thing that will happen is that Steam will permanently remove the option to change display name from your accounts.
They have all the power, if they say your name is not allowed, its not allowed.
Thats all there is to it.

Its a privately owned platform, they can invoke any rules they want.
The only rights you have is to access the games you payed for to play.
Everything else they can take away anytime they want.
