Spring Cleaning Event - Fixes For Various Trophies

Hello. The Spring Cleaning event has brought us an incentive to dust off your library and play some games. There are some edge cases now that are causing issues for users though. I'm going to try to combine a bunch of fixes for some edge case scenarios

BLAST FROM THE PAST - Game removed from store

This issue should be addressed now via a different message.

You will see the game in the list. But you will then be prompted to look into your library to find it.

Find this game in your library as it should still be there. Then install it and run the game

BLAST FROM THE PAST - Game was F2P and removed from store

If your game was a F2P game that was removed like Dead Island Epidemic, you will first need to find the AppID of the game. Go to

https://steamdb.info/

Search for your game. From here try clicking the "Install game" option in the upper right. That should install the game and you can then run it for the trophy

NOSTALGIA

It appears that users now automatically get this trophy if they do not have any qualifying titles

Im wondering actually if maybe you set your system clock to the future maybe that would trick steam?

The temporal based achievements I don't know how you'd trick steam

As long as the game runs it doesnt matter that you're banned. Just like in your case, you just have to launc the game, even though the CoH servers are dead.

Yeah a lot of people have problems. I have ~1200 games on steam and I have maybe few hundred which I haven't played but it only shows 17 games.

I did check. What I am complaining about that it SHOULD qualify, it should met their requirements. For it to not be listed there is so stupid...

Also, another one needs fixing: Can't wait, play a game you purchase within 6 months. What is the freaking problem with this requirements? I PURCHASED GAMES WITHIN 6 MONTHS AND ITS NOT LISTED THERE. This event is such a chore because of so many bugs and issues.....

My first game was "13 Sep, 2011 Dead Island (RU) Retail". Im not from RU, the steam webpage for this game is deleted. You know how can i install the game?

Have to say that i have in my account the Dead Island ROW version.

A Blast From The Past might be difficult or impossible to complete for Linux users if it is a Windows only game and they switched to Linux.
