Can I run 2 instances of steam.
I have 2 monitors and I want to play stardew valley with my wife on the same pc. Can I run steam on 1 monitor and then run another account on the second monitor?

I'm trying to avoid building another pc to just play stardew valley.

It'll let you bind separate mouse, keyboard, speakers, gamepads, etc. to each monitor and both of you will be able to use them as separate PCs.

To run multiple instances of Steam, use

This is not a viable solution, I think, because you'd run into problems with controls & which program is tabbed into:
https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-run-multiple-versions-of-the-same-program-on-your-pc/
https://www.hongkiat.com/blog/running-multiple-instances-windows-program/
"If you have more than one user on your system and switch between them using the Start Menu, you can create new instances of the same program under a different user. You can observe this by opening the Task Manager (CTRL + Shift + ESC) and viewing the Details tab."

But if your pc is powerful enough, you should be able to emulate 2 pc's in 1 to play it, using VirtualBox:

That seems to be the easiest way, but I could be wrong.

edit: Eldin's solution seems to be easier, if u can get it working.

edit2: noticed no green lockpad on miniframe but u should be fine, I think.
