[Solution] How to edit Proton configs to make your win games work

In the forum for it, sure...
I remember reading that Version 4.2 required the user to install Proton from the Tools Section, and was not automatically installed, OP, check your Proton version and if it's 4.2 or newer, check the Tools section under your Library for Proton 4.2 (or newer) and install it if it is not installed, then try again.
Also
His problem is that his Steamplay Proton install isn't working. Steamplay Proton is a tool recently developed (released last September in BETA), which allows Linux users to run a compatibility layer through Steam to play Windows Games.
In short, it lets Linux users more or less play games made for Windows, thus meaning they can theoretically play most any game on the store (without Anticheat or DRM - Denuvo works tho). Quite a lot of games work but there are some that do not, ProtonDB is a website which compiles user-reports to more accurately show people what works under Proton and what doesn't, and if anyone intends to use Proton, check ProtonDB first to ensure your game works well under it.
