CS 1.6 Brightness Issue (Help pls)
Hi, for some reason whenever i launch CS 1.6 it sets the brightness to max and i dont know why... Can someone help me pls

I set hl.exe and cstrike.exe to high performance in AMD Radeon Settings, but i dont think thats the problem since i did the same for LoL and for L4D2, and there wasnt any problem :lunar2019grinningpig:

I also thought it could be related to the set launch options i applied but nope, i removed them all and the game is still setting brightness to max after launching

try
-nofbo
in launch options

Are you sure it's not activating a gaming mode on your monitor? What's your monitor

It is probably your laptop driver software having game detection and adjusting brightness. Just like unplugging pc changes brightness

Look in any control panels, the mobility centre, laptop settings, power plan in control panel (make sure it's high performance)

I just realised that it doesn't affect CS 1.6 only, it also happens with L4D2..
I have the power plan, AMD Radeon Settings, Graphics settings everything in high performance and all drivers up to date according to windows

It is definitely something external and nothing to do with a game then. I would try clean installing your GPU drivers.

Download DDU, run it (self extracting package), boot to safe mode, install latest graphics drivers from vendor website. You will lose all settings, btw

The thing is that ive just clean installed not only drivers but everything, windows 10, drivers, steam, etc. A few days ago
