New categories for splitscreen / lan / online pvp and co-op.

These are much clearer than the old "local coop" and "local multiplayer" etc. But now a lot of games have splitscreen listed even when they don't support it. https://i.imgur.com/tU8NmJi.png

Yes I know but most devs chose to include "local multiplayer" and "local co-op" thinking they meant you can play on lan. Then valve renamed those categories to shared/splitscreen pvp and co-op. Because of that a lot of games are now incorrectly tagged as having splitscreen when they do not.

The game devs have to update them. They were notified before the change, just like all changes.

The devs I have talked to had no idea about the change until I asked them about the miscategorisation. And it's not just a couple of games here and there that are miscategorised. It's literally hundreds if not thousands that are miscategorised.

So you are saying that big studios like bohemian interactive that only sells on steam and xbox game studios that is part of microsoft just accidentally ignored an email from valve? Infact the amount of games that are tagged with the new lan pvp or lan co-op is less than 50. Are you saying that less than 50 developers from the entirety of developers that sell games on steam read that email?
