Remote Play Together and Goat Simulator

Okay. So Remote Play Together says we can play Goat Simulator through this system, but so far what we were able to do is to control the game owner's character. The screen, where it says to 'press start/enter' does not work for the person that is trying to join. Shared imput on/off does not change it. I am aware that the game has local split-screen multiplayer, and that is what we are trying to do through the new system. Any ideas on how to make it work?
