Steam Broadcast - black screen simulator
Why doesn't this work anymore? There's a lot of bandwidth available, but never any video feed.

It works instantly through steamcommunity.com in a web browser. You people broke the feature in the desktop application, so you should fix it.

Is your hardware acceleration enable on your Steam client?

The box is currently checked.
I've unchecked that box and asked a friend to broadcast the same game as earlier. Audio comes through but no video.

Is he playing the game window mode, or full screen?

Tell him to check his boardcast settings, maybe enable record all video input check box. If using multiple monitors, that might be something to consider testing.
I was actually trying to watch two friends play a multiplayer game and neither feed would come through. (They can watch my broadcast no problem.)

We all play in full screen, or at least a full screen window, whatever the default is for Age of Empires 2.
I don't have those boxes checked at all and he was able to watch my test broadcast. We're using the same exact settings for Broadcasting except he has Show upload stats enabled. We are both currently using single monitors only.

Just realized something, completely missed read from before. You said it works from web browser, and just not the client? Then I have to say that be your end, could try clearing the cache, and cookies on your client, maybe try Steam beta.

Correct. I already cleared the Download Cache and restarted the client before posting here. I guess I could try clearing the other caches. This is a feature that used to work before Valve started releasing a ton of client updates this year.
