What are some good and scary horror games on Steam?

Felt like getting into horror games. I have a few horror games in my library (Like Outlast and Emily Wants To Play) but I was wondering if there was other good horror games you people enjoyed and would recommend me?

No FNAFs please (although games that are similar in terms of theme and/or gameplay are fine, I've play all the main FNAF games, I'm looking for something new)

Yeah I did consider that one a while ago. It is coming on Switch, so might as well pick it up on both PC and Switch.

I would suggest Alone in the Dark the New Nightmare if you're into older stuff, but you might need to look online for a fix for an issue that it might have.

it was my first horror game and i honestly loved it , but idk if the scary parts are enough for someone looking for real horror , i was so terrified of queen vannesa in hat in time , i muted the game audio , lol

If you're looking at modern, then...I'm surprised nobody recommended Resident Evil 2, unless you're on a budget. If you want old school, then check out the HD remake. Other than that, I'd say DreadOut if you want a Fatal Frame clone. I'm just listing games off the top of my head that nobody else said yet.

Out of all games I played on Steam, the best and scariest for me were Alien Isolation and Outlast.

I remember this game scaring the šhit out of me when I played it 10 years ago.
