Is this ban deserved?
I just want your opinion on did I deserved permanent ban from Killing Floor 2 community for creating this guide.

Quick backstory:
Few years ago TripWire promised that KF2 microtransactions will be only skins and that they'll never sell gameplay content like maps, weapons, perks, etc.

Now they started selling weapons for $10 each and almost everyone got angry at them.

And now is where I come in:
I launched Killing Floor 2 SDK
The tool that TripWire gave to KF2 players so they can modify the game.

I figured out how to use SDK to modify game file for Trader Pod to enable those paid weapons in solo games without having to purchase them.

Used that mod myself for few weeks and then decided to share it with community.

So, I shared the modified file I made with KF2 SDK and created guide so people can do it when new weapons get released.

This is the screenshot of that guide
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1905098943

In less than a day I got 26 ratings and 26 favorites and a lot of positive comments from players.
That's a lot when you consider it's the first day of guide's existence (and sadly, the last)

As soon as developers noticed the guide they banned it and they permanently banned me from using forums and other community features.

I just wanna know is that a good reason for my ban and should I complain to Steam Support?
I just used tool that TripWire gave us so we can modify the game.
And I just used it for modifying offline part of the game.
But that got me permanently banned.

If they want they can ban you for whatever reason as it's their right plus you need to read the games tos as modifying game files like that can usually be against the rules you agreed to and can result in a game ban also if they so wish and have that ability.

But they made SDK so people can modify game files and create mods.
If they don't want us to modify game files, why did they gave us the tool that modifies game files?

If they decide that this is an exploit, and exploits are a nuke-on-sight offense in the rules, they can issue a permanent ban from their hub if they wish. Some devs just happen to have a harsher stance on those.

You can still try Support anyway, in fact, I'd recommend it if you do think the ban is unfair, but unless the ban is egregious, it's likely the appeal is to be left up to the hub mods.
