Steam Library Broken (WINDOWS 7 BUG)
Hey I've seen many people complain about this annoying bug that has been happening in the new steam library. It's pretty hard to explain so I just recorded a video to demonstrate what's broken in the new library.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMfmU32rVl8&feature=youtu.be

Am I the only one experiencing this bug?

I personally think that the new library is very beautiful so keep it up Valve.

Let me know.

Oh wow, that's pretty bad... I guess Valve decided 'Aww ♥♥♥♥ it, we don't care about people who are using Windows 7, after all it's outdated and who uses Windows 7 anymore... right?'

Newsflash Steam, here's a user who uses Windows 7. Might wanna take a few steps back and fix it!!!!!!

Yes I had that.
What helped was to disable GPU accelerated rendering in web views.
Steam top left >settings Interface

Its not just windows 7, this happens to me too on windows 8.1 pro, and its even worse, sometimes steam client freezes and then crashes completly. Disabling GPU accelerated rendering seems to be a work around but makes library scrolling absymaly slow with like 2 seconds input delay. I guess quad core intel i7 with 16gb of ram is not enough to run steam these days, its probably optimised for new 32 core ryzen cpu's
I hope valve releases a fix faster than halflife 3.

Check your CPU, GPU & RAM usage, make sure your rig can handle running Steam Library.

Add 3 more
Steam top left>Settings>Library
reduced the size of the images to small.
>Display size for library user interface elements then
tick low bandwidth mode
and tick low performance mode.
This will hide the community content when you highlight a game, but you enable it any time you'd like to see it.
restart Steam

Also deleting steam web cache and downloads cache may also help.
Check some setting in Steam Settings >interface > enable video decoding .
Enable direct write
Enable snooth scrolling

+1. Same problem.

In your Steam account setups change to Beta-testing.
I choose "Steam beta update" (client downloaded beta version & rebooted) and this helped for me. No more "mouse-reveal" content.

Which are your system specs?

I have this issue too, except it's worse for me. it doesn't slowly restore the page for me at all, i have to mouse over everything to make them pop out or it stays on a past screen visual.

They already fixed this in the newest beta patch, either opt into that or wait till they push the update to final.

Easier to just recomend never buying anything on steam again. I don't do betas, I expect a working product or at the very least, a product not being broken if it didn't need fixing. and right now it's an eyesore and a PC lagger but they'll never give us the choice to opt out to a simple "library only" library, their ego apparently spent 2 years on this. at that point, they'd rather risk the business going under than admit they made a mistake 2 years, and somehow they missed a lot of issues.
