Where is small mode?
That's the only mode I EVER used. Please say I'm just overlooking it.

It's been obfuscated for no good reason. Enter steam://open/minigameslist in a browser window, desktop shortcut, or Steam command line prompt to force it back.

Thanks. That's annoying. All I want to do is launch my games, I don't give a flip about any details like time played, last played, etc.

There's a lot to be said for simple designs.

We're on the same page. It's the only mode I've ever used unless I needed to manage downloads. :(

Yeah that manage download stuff annoys me too. Scheduled for when my PC is off always, so I just click the damn update now button. Should be a right-click option, but whatevah. Guess people like stats.

Many beta testers asked for small mode, list view, grid view, ect. to stay a thing, but was ignored. Just like with a good number of bug reports.

Looking at the library can sometimes be experienced as an "information overdose".
The small mode relaxes the mind. It's very good to have, if you don´t want too much brain strain when launching something, or deciding on which video game to play.

I think they forgot adding it. It will probably be added later. :health:

This is also true, in my opinion.
I added the shortcut to the taskbar. It works like a charm.
After setting it in small mode, to make it big again, use the interface: View > Large Mode.

Please add small mode again!

I was dreading the new steam update, because it sounded like they wanted to push people unto Large mode and it happened exactly like I feared, I don't want my list of game to take up my whole screen, I am a person who enjoy simple efficient designs and small mode gave me just that, a short list of my favorite games that i play frequently.

And thank you @Tay Bae for the workaround <3, but honestly we should not have to do these kind of "fixes" and valve should really just add it back in to the View menu.
It's such a small thing gesture but it does a lot for the people that uses it, and it wont even take away from the work they did on large mode it's still there for the people who want to use it

+1
This new interface that just appeared for me is filled with junk.... Even my list of games is an overload. I own 85, but it's showing me 500+ all mixed together from my family shared libraries.

1. Launch steam with the -console parameter.
2. Open the Console tab
3. type open steam://open/minigameslist into the console
4. enjoy small mode! :golden::ss13ok:

Tested and working on linux.

The problem with the Workaround is that you can't swap seamlessly from Store mode to Small mode, you'd have to either type in the console command, or in my case go to desktop and use the shortcut, and that just clunks up the flow.

you can make a shortcut for small mode
pin it to the taskbar, or put it in a tray toolbar

Thanks for the tip, it does add a little flow back to the process, but ultimately valve need to add this feature back in!

And who knows how long we are able to use this workaround, getting valve to acknowledge it and add it back in would ensure that they keep supporting it.

No longer working correctly after latest update.

No, it still works fine. It is also available as an option in the View menu ("Small Mode").

Of course Big Picture Mode (gamepad ui) does not have a small library mode, so it will not work when that's open.
