Selling a Steam Wallet?
I won’t bother you with the gory details of my stupidity, but I ended up with a $200 Steam Wallet Card that I don’t want or need. (I’m 59 years old and not a gamer). I couldn’t return it to the retailer it was bought from, as per their policy, so I’ve searching in vain for a way to get at least some of my money back. I redeemed here on Steam, but I don’t understand what my next move could/should be. Any help?

If it’s been activated on Steam, you can purchase products available from the store or things on the marketplace. If those options don’t interest you, there’s nothing you can do with those two-hundred dollars.

You can buy gifts, so it may be best to find out if any friends or family are PC gamers with existing accounts or the desire to create one.

edit: profile indicates you want to “sell your wallet”—that will fall afoul of the SSA as well as make you a valuable target for scam artists.

Yeah, um, selling will be very, very bad for everyone involved.

Also, "59" isn't a good excuse, play some games! There are fun ones, and plenty of em.

You should remove that text on the profile good sir, it may cause you much more trouble.

You'll have to arrange with close friends or family members.
You should also drop Steam Support a line and see what they say.
Explain the situation and maybe possibility of transfer fully the account.
Explicit word from Valve is the term in the SSA.

From one older adult to another, trust no one with stories that suddenly and randomly add you. No matter how good it sounds.

Only next there is, is to get some games and learn to play, you can't cashout/sell Steamwallet.

If you don't like games, you can find videos and even TV series on steam. I have a couple of series.

That said, there are ALL kinds of games for all kinds of interests. Some games are like reading novels, some are like board games or card games, some incorporate videos as part of the game (watch videos to solve a mystery).

I'm 48, and still enjoy lots of kinds of games ...

But as I said, if you don't like games, you can also get videos, OR maybe software might interest you.

Or use it to buy games as gifts for relatives.

OP here few options that might work for you how you can make use of your $200.

A. If interested in playing older games, looking for Software tools, or such, wouldn't hurt to take a look around, if something fancy you, then might be worth it for you.

B. If you have relative that plays on computer, then perhaps gift them games from their wishlist, or ask what games are they interested wanting to get on Steam, and gift them that.
