HTC Vive low resolution

Hey guys.
I've built pretty damn solid system and purchased Vive as well and for the love of everything I can't seem to figure out the resolution settings in Vive.
On monitor games look very nice but in Vive, the resolution is so crappy that even StemVR Home looks so bad that I actually struggle a bit to read anything in there.
When I launch Assetto Corsa Competizione, for instance, the resolution is so crappy that it's almost not playable. Runs smooth, but very bad resolution.
I tried to set different resolutions both in Steam desktop and in Vive, but no matter what I do, absolutely nothing is changing - no setting has any effect on my resolution in Vive.
When I tried adjusting resolution in Assetto Corsa Competizione, max res was my monitor's (1440)
I can't seem to launch the game anyhow but right-click and choose "launch in SteamVR"
Is the resolution in Vive that bad ???

You can’t compare it to a monitor, it’s about the immersion.

I know, I know.... But is VR res so bad that it's nearly unplayable ???

1080x1200 per eye for 2160x1200 total is bad?

No, I guess not - the problem is that my Vive probably doesn't display that resolution.
I guess settings issue.
As I said - no matter what I do in settings - nothing affects the resolution.

Try asking in the VR section, hopefully someone there can help you get the game's resolution sorted.
