How to change text scaling in steam?

I just bought a 4k Monitor and now all my text is really small, I've fixed the problem in things like Windows and Discord but the text in Steam is like size 4-6.
Does anyone know how I can increase the size of the text on Steam?

Set your scaling to 125% in Windows or GPU software and check the box Steam > Settings > Interface >>> Scale text and icons...

I already scaled the text in windows but that isn't applying to Steam.
I just tried going to where you said but I don't see a "Scale text and Icons" area in there

So, you are not using Win 10? That setting is only for Win 10 users.

Join the mega suggestion thread and try a skin from one of the users who posted in it.

Yeah I'm still on Windows 7, because I'm stubborn. I'll check out the skin and see if that helps. Thanks for the help.

Will it still display blurry but proper size if you turn off the high DPI override in the compatibility tab?

Valve has decided not to support the "classic" method of High DPI Awareness but instead leverage a method used in recent versions of Windows 10.

I'm still using win 7 and a 4k monitor too, and have the same problem... very very frustrating and annoying, especially with my poor eyesight. Win 7 is very stable and I prefer it to win 10 anyway, even if I could afford to update to w10

Steam client app is the ONLY software I use that gives me grief cuz of no text scaling.
Come on guys you can do better!!!. Aren't you just being a bit lazy on this? :)

As a programmer myself, I can't believe that it's very difficult to 'fix' this

Windows 7's HiDPI support is very primitive compared to 10. Seeing as under 4% of Steam users run Windows 7 and it's EOL it isn't a priority for Steam developers to cater to.
