Mouse scroll too fast in game. How do you solve this problem?

I have bought this old game but the mouse scroll is way too fast.
I did not find any configuration file in the game's folder.
This game does not use a dedicated graphics card so I switched from Nvidia to Intel.
What should I do?

When you say mouse scrolls, are you talking about looking with the mouse or the scroll wheel?

What mouse?

Either way, if it's any sort of gaming mouse you should be able to create a custom profile for the game exe with the mouse profile software and lower the mouse DPI or fiddle with the scroll wheel settings until you're satisfied.

It's just an old game called Port Royale and I use a normal mouse, not a gaming one.
I was not talking about the scroll wheel. In other words, the mouse sensitivity is too high (I tried to lowered it from my control panel but nothing changed, it's like something about the game itself).

I mean searching around this seems like a common problem, so I'd go read around and try what other people have suggested or claims works. It does look like there's several possible workarounds or strategies to work around mouse scroll speed issues.

Unfortunately I've been looking for a solution through the web but I've found nothing.
I guess I will survive with this little annoyance.
