My modded games are downloading in PDF format. How to change back?

Hey guys

I am an amatuer modder following youtube videos. All was going well until my windows 10 has started to download mod files in PDF format rather than "blank file" (which you use 7-zip to decompress and view game files.

But this "blank file" (not sure what its called) has defaulted to PDF format so of course it won't open. Windows 10 asks "which app to download file" but its notepad, microsoftword etc.

How do I get back tot he "blank document?" so i can 7-zip like before?

Open an explorer window. Go to the View tab and make a checkmark next to "File name extensions". Then put .zip or .7z at the end of the file name.
