Exit Gates DBD

Hello there people, my friend and I have gotten into a query. I have seen maps with only 1 exit gate, but he assures me there's no such thing as a map with 1 exit gate. Has anyone else seen this? I had this problem on red forest, when the last gen was popped there was only 1 exit gate aura present and not 2. I have no idea if this is a glitch or if I'm just blind and can't see the other door. Thank you.
