502 Bad Gateway

I'm getting this a ton lately again... Anyone else experiencing this and store pages go black screen and weird video issues..

Only seemed to start this sale

I'm Australian.

it happens all over the internet, it's a general internet problem, not solely tied to steam. Specifically, it's trying to redirect you to the page you requested, and failing.

Its only happening on steam, i'm having no issues anywhere else..

You've yet to see it elsewhere. I'm just letting you know it's a general error. You've seen 404 before, right?

When the servers are under heavy load (like during a big sale like now) this happens a lot on Steam.

502 is beyond our control i believe 404 is different.. I'm not seeing 404 at all.

I see yeah i wondered this but not sure why steam servers would be anymore over taxed at a sale when normally steam is packed daily.

i imagine it's kinda like big stores and black friday. Normally, the stores are pretty populated (but manageable), but once black friday hits, everyone and their mother shows up in droves and everything becomes chaos.

It's kinda like big stores and black friday. Normally, the stores are pretty populated (but manageable), but once black friday hits, everyone and their mother shows up in droves and everything becomes chaos.

Yeah good point i'll keep an eye out after the sales to see if it continues..

Yeah its got really bad for me steam made my win 7 aero crash yesterday as soon as i closed steam the aero returned.. Not sure what these last few patches have done to my steam...

Also if i minimise steam at all the steam goes all black.

Well always happened every mins to me too, pretty hard to change avatar and update my profile.

Updating my profile works fine, but updating my avatar is literally impossible

Yeah just hit me now was working fine an hour ago but mid day on a Sunday with a sale on sounds about right.

This entire sale I've never ran into that or had any issues..only today has it started cropping up, but why? Because today is the last day of the sale or something?
