Would you pay $100/month for an ISP with 500ko/s download speed and a datacap of 2Go? I guess not, right? So why should I pay the same price, or even more, on Epic only to get the crappiest service in the industry? They need "feedbacks" to think about a simple cart to prevent people from having their account locked during a sale? It just shows how anti-consumers and inept they are.
So, again, why should I buy anything from them?
Poor comparison. You’re comparing exclusive content games to some kind of rare Internet. You’re speaking of a rare glitch that they fixed quickly, one person already addressed that and I’m getting sick of repeating myself. They are being pro developer and publisher right now ok ? That means pro consumer for us.
I don’t mind having to go to a different launcher to play games. I already do that on Uplay and GOG. Friday, I’m buying Flower from Epic and I’ll let you know how it plays
If only doing it for one side, does not mean will be what you think, if only if that how the real world works, but it doesn't, things don't always go as planned, or what we assume.
- Give Consumers the best = Possible giving Devs / Pubs good time. Or Not.
- Give Devs / Pubs the best = Possible giving Consumers good time. Or Not.
Flower is also on Steam, or GoG[www.gog.com] if you want, it's not limited to Epic only, just incase you didn't know.
The issue is that in some regions, such as Canada, parts of EU, and some other countries, are either paying the same price on Epic compare to Steam, GoG, etc, or even paying more than Epic, plus some people in certain places want to use their choice of payment, but would get hit with extra fees on checkout due to Epic not wanting to cover their payment options at all.
Example for Flower, I get the best deal on GoG for $4.69 CAD, Steam $7.99 CAD, and Epic $6.99 USD which turn it into CAD $9.20. Just an example, and it also vary on the games for their prices as well.
I'm still waiting for 1 just 1 good reason to buy a game on epicent, until now there is absolutely no reason at all for me (a really addictited person on games) to buy or use EGS.
I don't know what kind of people will buy something there, seriously i really can't understand why someone would choose epicent over Steam or GOG.
Steam has a record of free redemptions, be it permanently free DLCs, apps, or what.
Someone with that little vision that is always chasing short-term money has no right pretending to be a visionary and savior of "gaming".
Epic abandons everything and ♥♥♥♥♥ off from it the moment they don't sense the money they expect from it. They have no loyalty to their IPs, past fans, or customers. Why the ♥♥♥♥ are clowns so dedicated to defending them and sucking up to them? They can't even keep their old stuff running or available (which is cheap for a billion+ $ company).
"PC is dead cause of piracy." -Epic
Anyone that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb has NO RIGHT to try and come in and act like they know whats best for PC. He ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ abandoned PC and left it to rot, because he didn't think there was as much money here as he'd like. Valve established a thriving market. But Steam bad, Epic good... give me a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ break.
Lay off the paint chips will ya? MTX are "pro-dev/pub", but they aren't pro-consumer. Brown nosing the manufacturers doesn't mean something is pro-consumer at all. Gas station chains brown-nose and profit off the scummy oil industry.... does that mean it's pro-consumer solely because it's "pro oil producer"?
Like the dumbest thing I've heard all month, even with me reading Eisberg's usual twitter garbage.
Especially since the EGS clowns defend him on it... cause you know if there was "cOmPeTiTiOn" in the OS market Sweeney's past whining and fears would be irrelevant. Competition and parity could benefit the OS market, unlike the EGS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you endlessly defend.
There are reasons why you get laughed off Steam and twitter. And also why you fail to reply to certain posts.

I never said anything about Journey. What does Tax have anything to do with this? You do realize people in Canada can not pay in CAD, only USD Epic right? What you think I explain that USD part?
Lmao.
1. Epic moves onto new franchises, something that more people should do. They went from Unreal Tournament, changed the direction towards Unreal Championship on consoles, did a farewell address to Unreal Tournament on 360, then did Gears Of War for many years before eventually moving towards Fortnite. Now they are creating a new generation of Unreal Tournament for a new generation of people.I don’t recall a history of them of them letting customers down. They have delivered amazing game experiences time and time again. Blame Microsoft for their ridiculous Dlc prices. Even Valve scoffed at Microsoft for the prices of Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 dlc That were overpriced asf.
2. So Tim made a comment stating that PC gaming was dead, amongst many others, back in the day and he’s the bad guy ? According to you guys you’ll judge someone even 20 years down the line for what they said.
Piracy was pretty bad also on PC gaming back in the day. Piracy killed the floppy and it was becoming harder and harder for many developers and publishers to make PC games. Hence why Steam started the way they did and did DRM stuff. Many people thought that PC would die and that Valve were crazy to try to save it and they were successful. Tim wasn’t a lone wanderer when he abandoned PC for a long time.
Tim was also one of the greatest contributors towards online gaming. Not just because of 1999 GOTY Unreal Tournament, But he also worked with Sega to put Unreal Tournament on the Dreamcast. Then he worked with Microsoft to form the first definitive console online game, Unreal Championship. It’s foolish to call Tim a traitor to PC gaming. If it wasn’t for him, there might not have been such a thing.
3. Because you want everything on Steam, that means they are anti consumer ? I can’t get God Of War on Xbox, that means Sony are anti consumer. Lol. Epic are making amazing partnerships and that means more money for awesome creators that will continue making awesome games. No paint chips, I’m just debating without name calling.
There is a reason why the industry isn't paying attention to you people at all. Your arguments are full of misinformation, misleading information, changing the meaning of what was stated in dishonest ways and making a big deal out of the smallest things. You guys are exactly the same as those who had great amount of hate against Steam in the early days, and just as dishonest as they were too, none of those people untimely mattered nor didn't change anything then, and the same is for you people as well.
Why do you think some of the devs take to twitter to whine about reviews, why do you think Sweeney is always ♥♥♥♥ talking and making bad comparisons, why do clowns like yourself spend so much time everywhere shilling, why do you think the "games meda" spends so much time talking down on "toxic pro-consumer Steam users" and so much marketing every time Sweeney has verbal diarrhea? Why does Randy keep having mental meltdowns on twitter? Why does Epic slowly but surely keep redoing things as a response whenever there is "enough" backlash against that piece of ♥♥♥♥?
Oh yeah sure, no one cares. /s
1. I don't want to hear this crap from the guy that was earlier whining that he just "had" to use Epic because the next title/re-release in a favorite franchise was going to be exclusive.
Also humorous you'd argue that when A. moving on doesn't mean you have to abandon all your old work and B. Epic's store likes to target spiritual successors and sequels not new things.
2. Epic was making comments back in 2008 too about PC and piracy. They also made comments what 5~ or so years ago that the future of all gaming is free to play loaded up with MTX.
Their past words and actions are very much relevant. It's a company that says whatever it has to in order to make headlines and has never once stuck by anything other than UE. They may do grants and stuff while patting themselves on the back saying "look at how good we are", but in everything else they ♥♥♥♥ off for greener pastures leaving everything to rot the moment they expect less money from it than they'd like.
3. Oh boy now you bring out this idiocy. Is that the only "heavy-hitter" you clowns that defend EGS have? "yOu WaNt EvErYtHiNg On StEaM iNsTeAd, YoU'rE a FaNbOy." I think when feasible games should be available on every platform. I have consoles, I have GOG, Steam, Uplay, Origin, etc. I just don't have any intention of kissing Sweeney's ass and buying into Epic's crap which is completely counter to my interests (nor Stadia which is also counter to my interests vis-a-vis end-user rights, access, and control).
It has nothing to do with "loving Steam" and everything to do with Epic is an enemy to my own interests.
On Epic:
Customer services? Not a priority.
Convenience? Not a priority.
Consolidating ownership of specific series' so it's not spread across 4 different platforms with a higher chance of losing access? Definitely not in Epic's "plans".
Pricing competition? Nowhere in Epic's plans.
Supporting endeavors that try to open up and decentralize the requirements for gaming (ie. things like DXVK, Proton, etc.)? Epic doesn't give a rats ass.
Forums? Epic's against them.
Reviews? Epic doesn't like them.
Less options for consumer choice? Epic loves this one.
Why the ♥♥♥♥ should I shop with Epic lmao?
Though it did apparently work on EGS fans themselves with Epic's PR doing that same thing. Now the dishonest "THIRTY PERCENT TAXXXXX!!!!!111!1!!!1 argument is their battlecry. No matter how much mental gymnastics it takes to get there.
Blame microsoft for ridiculous dlc prices? What you smoking?
2. Bad guy? An jack*** or idiot.
DRM was going to be a thing, because they didn't like the fact you could share your copy, or even sell your copy, heck they got upset that people could just make back up, and give them to people hence piracy, which why DRM became a big thing for the publishers, we had always online DRM, DRM with passcodes, DRM must needing the disk with code printed on disk, Steam wasn't even remotely close being the 1st, nor existed when DRM was made for games, Valve started Steam out DRM because they also felt the same was as the other Publishers did, before being CD code base only, yes people didn't like having to be online to play your games, nor wanted to download, which ISP back then were really slow, or bad depending where you were from, it took years for people to accept client base DRM, but also they were not the 1st platform to sell games that were also DRM back then either, years later GoG came they were basically people liked them, which guess what? DRM FREE! Geez I wonder why they were praised, and not hated as you said people did, nor did they swear they will never use GoG.
Tim left because he believe PC was dead, he didn't cared how thing went, until he saw how Steam was doing with their open public reports of sales, which only to bite his own foot, same with Ubisoft claiming PC user base were full of piates back in 2012, saying 93 / 95% were pirates, funny how Q1 of 2019, we're happy to brag about how we made more money on PC than console, whoops hope no one rememebrs that.
3. Cool story, time to yell RREEEE it must be on Steam excuse, which oh ya F the GoG users, and every other platforms, because they don't matter in this for some reason, but hey don't stop there, might as well swear up and down, how bad GoG users, and everyone else is so toxic too.
Here fun fact, wanting 1st party title on another platform, is up to them, as it's their game, and t hey can choose to keep their games on their own platforms if they wanted. Key words 1st party, not 3rd party. Most of the games on Epic are not made by Epic, or own by Epic, some of the games using the Unreal is Epic, but again the game itself isn't, which you should know that, or you gonna ignore that little fact?
More money in their pockets doesn't guarantee or translate what you think will happen, or how they will handle their extra money, should look up EA, Activision, and list goes on, they just fill the CEO pockets, and laughing it off, yea... Isn't that great, look at Nintendo, when something gone wrong, CEO took it out of own pockets, to fix things, other companines only shy away, and blame things, not exactly a great industry now is it.
Ok?
