Using Mini SNES (Classic) and Pokeball Plus as PC controllers
I've tried pairing via bluetooth and editing a few device settings, but sadly i cant get any inputs to be detected, is there a way to do this?
Even Joy2key cant detect it.

Edit: See 4th post for how to connect mini snes, will update if i figure out how to connect pbp

Okay, having read up on it, it looks like they planned for blocking end users from doing such things. To pair it with the switch, you have to follow specific steps, and it appears the smartphone functionality is tied to the pokemon go app.

I think this might be a situation where you'll have to wait for someone insane to figure out some trick or work around. Unfortunately, if such information existed, I would not be able to provide it, as it would probably be considered DRM evasion, which is illegal where I live.

oh man I would totally wreck my TV with that thing, hand strap or no hand strap. Is this a donkey kong bongo type situation?

I guess I'll start working on some way to pair the pokeball plus to the pc.
I'll post my solution here if I am successful.
Thank you for the help.

Edit:

Ok, so I haven't managed to connect the PBP yet, I'm guessing ill have to code something complex in python to get bluetooth to pick up inputs then have some motion detection software running to get motion controls working.

I have, however, figured out how to connect the SNES mini controllers to the PC using a WiiMote.

It was not particularly easy to figure this out, so I will post the process here for any future users.
  1. The first step is to connect the Wiimote to your PC via bluetooth. It is as simple as going to control panel and pressing "add a device" (in hardware and software).
  2. It will ask you for a pin code*. Simply press next. If it doesn't work, just repeat step 1 until it works. It may take 5-10 tries.
  3. Once your WiiMote is connected, plug your SNES classic controller into the wiimote.
  4. You'll need to use the program GlovePie to map the SNES controller inputs. I can't remember where I downloaded my version, so I'll just upload the zip file and link it here[megaupload.nz].
  5. After that, its as simple as mapping keyboard keys to the inputs of the snes. Go to the GUI tab choose the option to manually select keys. Then, manually select the input device too. Note that the SNES classic is called "classic". Optionally, you can just use my key bindings here[megaupload.nz].
And that's it.

* Though it prompts a pin code input, I could skip it by pressing next as I have the old version of the WiiMote. Newer versions may be different. You should be able to find a guide online for connecting the new wiimotes.

Has anyone figured out the pokeball plus?

I've yet to find anything much on the matter, however someone did suggest this[www.8bitdo.com]. Not 100% sure if it will work with the pokeball plus.

From what I've seen even if the adapter did work the gyro controls wouldn't. Anyone figures it out let me know. I'm going to be working on it from here
