Does accepting a gift reveal your email to gifter?

I know awhile ago, there was an issue where the gifter's email is revealed to the gift receiever.

If someone is sending me a gift right now, and i accept it, will the gifter see my email?

Yes it does. I had this several times. It s a bit of a bummer.
And I think it shouldnt happen.

EDIT: oh wait...the email of the gifter is often revealed to the recipient.

EDIT 2: I am gonna check my mail library (carefully categorized for STEAM mails) to see if the gift accepted notification eventually reveals email too.

EDIT 3: Doesn't happen anymore.

They stopped showing gifter emails early last year.

You're fine.

It'll show the profile name of the person sending it.

Yeah seems that doesn't occur anymore couldn't find neither emails of gifter nor recipient in both types of notifications going at least back to last halloween sale ( i stopped there)

Should have never happened in the first place since the email is super-sensitive profile info in alot of cases. Apart from the fact that some of my friends now call me by my RL name :S
