Tokens "awarded" not matching up to token balance + tokens spent
So the event tells me this: You've earned 10,760 tokens total (including 4,518 converted Lunar New Year tokens).
But my balance says this: 5,360
I've spent only 900 tokens (100 for an emoticon, and 800 for the grand prix badge)
Can someone tell me what's going on?

Those 10760 tokens are all the tokens you earned so far and that includes 4518 from the Lunar event.

I put myself as an example, my Pit shop page says:

"You've earned 6,496 tokens total (including 4,296 converted Lunar New Year tokens)".

Since this event began, I only used 2200 tokens, 2000 are from the "Qualifier Quests" and the other 200 are from the daily 100 points they give you. If you add 2200 to 4296 you get 6496. You see where I'm going with this? I'm missing 4296 tokens from the Lunar Event.

Something similar is happening to a lot of us if you read through the forums, the problem has not been solved yet.

Thanks for the info. I didn't end up looking through the forms, but I probably should have.

I'm missing the tokens I should have gotten from the Lunar Sale too.
My Pit Stop says I should have some 7K in total, yet I only have 5K (didn't buy anything except lvl 1 badge). Not like it matters though, since the emotes and backgrounds are ugly as hell (in my opinon) and I can't get anywhere close to 15K required for the voucher, so what's the point?

Sadly, If you don't put actual money into the event you are never going to get that voucher. They should have added some kind of way to allow the users to increase their maximum capacity, like, I don't know, a minigame. Said minigame would award the user with X amount of capacity every time they play it, that way we would have been able to reach the goal, either the voucher or the badge, by just putting some effort, but I guess the people who work on Steam is too greedy for that.

The old tokens go to your Maximum points not the pitstop.....

They don't, at least not now, my maximum capacity is 2200 which is the exact amount I got from the "Qualifier Quests" AND the 100 daily points they give you.

Since this event began, I only used 2200 tokens,

Because your Max Points limit was 2200 when the event started. Which is earned 6496 - 4296 lunar.
You used all your lunar tokens back then.

lunar tokens are supposed to be granted as grand prix tokens in your pitstop page.

When the event started I had 196 points of capacity, then they put the Qualifier Quest (I think the 3rd or 4th day) which gave me 2000 of capacity extra, then they changed something and those last 2 digits (96) went to my pit shop balance.
I used the remaining 2100 points left to boost my team which awarded me with 2100 tokens plus the 96 that were in my pit shop. Until this morning the pit shop message did not say "6496 tokens total", It said "6396", when I got the daily 100 points today i used them and the total amount changed to "6496".

I guess those 96 tokens that were sent to the pit shot at the beginning are the Lunar Tokens? This is a mess.

okay, then not from the start. But your Max Points are Earned - lunar, right?
Everyone who did not spend any money since january started with 100 max points. You had 96 points more there. Maybe these where your left over lunar tokens.
But the tooltip beside the Max Points number says:

"Any leftover Lunar New Year tokens have now been converted over to Steam Grand Prix tokens and can be redeemed at the Pit Stop."

Did they changed that recently ? I dont know.

Yes, earned - lunar.

Nope, they didn't change that message, it says:

"This is the number of points you've earned through purchases on steam since the Lunar New Year sale, plus any points granted for participating in the Grand Prix everyday. Any left over Lunar New year tokens have been converted over to Steam Grand Prix tokens and can be redeemed at the pit shop".

Anyway, I will take that 96 is the correct amount of Lunar tokens I should have, but again, its a mess, they should change the pit shop message to be more clear.

Yeah mine don't line up either. Its broken and I know for sure it is after doing the math especially since it says I got 5k tokens from Lunar Event yet I started with 0 tokens and was only able to earn 6k after 5 days. I sent a ticket to Steam support with all my screenshots for proof of how broken I am but doubt anything will ever come of it.

Same here it stats that i have earned 9249 including 2000 tokens and all i have got and spent was like 7200 & 49 in my balance so there are 2000 tokens lost, I have contacted steam support but i think it will take them a few years to just respond to the ticket hopefully.

Same here.

Yeah, mine's off by 2000. At this point, I'm just chalking it up to the continuing clusterf*** saga of this whole event. Maybe it will get fix, maybe it won't.
For me it says I've earned 14000 total, but I only have 7300. How the heck does this work?

Yeah same I took 5 minutes to write of a complaint to support but I doubt it'll do anything.

Yeah. They should have put multiple discount coupons in the Pit Stop instead of the 5€/$ voucher - smaller discounts for smaller amount of tokens, higher discounts for a lot of tokens... everyone would be able to at least get something and there'd be much less backlash. But it'S as you said :tbpsad:
