A Coinstar is one of those machines you usually see at grocery stores where you can dump that jar of loose change you have, and get paper money for it. The problem is that there is a 9-10% fee if you get cash. But you can get various types of online gift cards and usually get the full amount for whatever money you put in.
I used to have a lunch job and after cashing out my monies, my tips would usually include a few bucks in change (in addition to paper money). I'd save it up and every few weeks would go, dump in my change, and get a receipt with a code I could enter into Amazon and get credit I could use for purchases. Sounds like you can now do that and get a Steam wallet code. One thing, I'm pretty sure you have to put in at least $5 in change to get any kind of gift card from the machine, so if you aren't sure you might want to count it first.
