Grand Prix XP is STILL absolutely broken

Lastly, we've heard you on the Grand Prix Badge. Man that thing is hefty! It is awarding *signficantly* more XP than intended. We'll be fixing this bug soon, lightening the value of the badge. While this may be dissappointing in the short term, we want to respect the value of past and future badges earned and feel this correction is the fairest measure we can take to make things right. If you no longer love your Grand Prix Badge, you will be able to exchange it at the Pit Stop for the number of of tokens you've spent on it.

Valve has heard us and they're nerfing the badge XP.

People who didn't even buy anything are randomly getting thousands of points and there is 1:1 correspondence (it doesn't scale AT ALL) between them and profile XP, thus making dozens of profile levels out of thin air. This really kills any feeling of pride and accomplishment that your previous profile level gave you, because your friends randomly get massive boosts. Volvo fix plz, rollback, make the badge scale or whatever, that kind of levelling hasn't been possible ever before.

i went up from 13 to 28 in a single day just by spending $20 and boosting the team lol

It's insulting for how much you can gain for so little.
They need to roll this back.
If they keep this up, it would be a slap in the face for those who have spent a lot of time and a lot of money on Steam levels.

Exactly! I've been slowly getting levels on my profile only to be absolutely crashed by friends gaining arbitrary high capcities and boost points.

I spend money on Steam every month and only got 135 tokens, meanwhile my friend who haven't spent a single cent for months and has spent less than half compared to me on his account history got thousands, this is so frustrating.

I don't have any clue what's going on with this event as the description was not entirely clear to me. I just boosted till I ran out and then cashed in to the badge. I reached badge level 222...no clue why I was able to do such, but *shrugs* whatever I guess.

For me it says "Your account received 4,000 Boost Meter capacity based on your previous spend on Steam" but I haven't recovered anything

Some people got to lvl 30.000 and Valve reduced their badge exp to 100, thing is they're still at that insanely high profile level.

I joined team Corgi when this all started, then made a couple of purchases and played games for a while. Later I come back and im stoked to see team Corgi WAAAY in the lead!!

But...

Then I go to use some boosts, and see that ... somehow... now I'm on... team... Cockatiel ?!?!?!

Ya I see that on SteamDB. I can't imagine that staying like that for very long.

Especially for those who own those trash "games" with thousands of achievements they used to spam all the time before Valve changed how publishing here works.
