Capacity ?

If i wait until tomorrow will i get the 3600 point and the extra will still there with 10184 point ?

That's what the error is, though. The cap isn't meant to be spent alongside boost, it's just supposed to be your daily limit.

The page tells you to "go earn X more tokens today" but the number it tells you to get isn't possible unless you spend money because it's yesterday's cap value plus the free 100. Why wouldn't it suggest earning another 100 if the cap is meant to reset?

It's permanent. The capacity is the maximum number of points you can store at any given time. If you try to redeem your points and they exceed your current capacity, you lose those exra points forever. You can never use them.

Using points converts them into coins. Coins are what you exchange for items or badge levels.

You can increase your capacity by spending money in the store. They are trying to get you to pay for coins.

Well, one way or another, it is, heh.

Either the Capacity is completely screwed up, or the Token message is.

Personally, my money is on Capacity. There's no other reason why the Token text would need to calculate a daily value and access the previous day's potential earnings unless the maximum Capacity wasn't intended to decrease as Boost was used.

They start you off with a bunch based on previous history, but once you boost with it, it chops 1000 off your capacity seemingly permanently. so every time you boost, it's 1000 gone from cap.

You will only be able to claim the last of your claim games if you buy some stuff to put the capacity up, and then once you start boosting with it, it will again diminish 1k at a time.

Those points will not be claimable tomorrow, they will "spill over" and be wasted into nothingness. So if you plan on buying something (therefore increasing your capacity), don't claim them.

yo I had almost 13000 in achievements from plague inc but i only had a capacity for 7800. I had no clue wtf was going on when i seen this race thing, it's very convoluted, confusing and lacking in details, i been looking at it for 2 days and i still have no idea how my input effects the race, googling my questions hasn't been helpful, anyways, i ended up claiming my 7800 without knowing and permanently losing the rest of my points in my plague achievements, which severely pissed me off. thanks.

it's hilarious how they tried to make something interesting for us but ended up confusing us, ripping us off, and pissing us off.

In all the years I've been on Steam, this is the most greedy and stupid cash grab I've ever seen. This is complete bollocks. I'll make a point of buying my games elsewhere if this is the level of greed you are going to have, Valve.

Wow... just... wow... I've been on Steam for what seems like forever, and have over 5k titles. I've loved all the sales and sale events, but this one... no this one is just wrong. #1 it's confusing and over complicated... from info it sounded like day 1 = 100 max, day 2 = 200 max, etc. plus any purchases up to 1k max but no it resets daily and you have to buy back to your max. #2 this is a straight up cash grab... the fact that we're getting reset daily and have to buy back capacity is not only not mentioned but utterly rediculous/greedy/no-fun/etc. and since the $5 off coupon costs 15,000 coins at 100 coins per $ spent that means you spend $150 to get a $5 coupon. #3 there's nothing fun or compelling... there's no cards to earn/collect, no queue browsing to earn things, no incentives whatsoever... being entered along with thousands of others into a random chance win something from your wishlist is weak at best.

Learning about the daily reset just now I went from confused and aggravated to annoyed and pissed off. You'd think with all the new competing marketplaces that Valve/Steam would have stepped up, but they've shot themselves in the foot (and arm and head) this time. They could have given everyone 3 trips through their queues to earn 50-100 coins each time instead of cards and that would have been at least something. They could have made all the games that earn you boost free for everyone to play for 30min/day even if you don't own it and that would have been something sweet and I'm sure led to more game sales across the board, but no. Very disappointing and very aggravating. Shame on you Valve/Steam.

I only have 2200 now wtf i should have 6000+ if they only give me 2200 imma be pissed. But at least this is a start but they better fix it

Today i started with 34k then it dropped to 20k and now 22k, but this 2k increase is explained on the recent news. No freaking idea where the 34k came from.

I just wish ♥♥♥♥ was clear. Like what are we supposed to get for a cap every day and is it supposed to reset. Day 1 I got 5800 or so and spent them, day 2 got +100 and it didn't reset, 5800/5900. Day 3 (today) I got +1000 (which they granted for participating day 1), didn't reset and spent them. So atm I am at 6900/6900.

If boost doesn't reset, then wtf is the point of having a capacity. Now I can't see getting that many points being reset daily. Otherwise I would be getting a lot of $5 discounts and free games.

This event is so ♥♥♥♥! look at the +20000 lvl accounts and 3 of my 2Accounts have more Points(or whatever all this ♥♥♥♥ is called) then my Main Account, its retardet that some of my Friends dont have to spend very much money and reach the lvl 500 grand prix badge.
so 50000 xp for nothing and i can only reach lvl 41 Badge with an Acc with more achievments (that are ignored from the event or i only get 3000 points for 146 achievments in csgo, and my friend gets 47000 for 120) and more playtime and all this stuff.
I hope they reset this ♥♥♥♥ soon. D:
