Seeing Games That I don't own in my Library.
Hi, is there a setting somewhere that I missed that disables the ability to see games owned by other accounts on the same computer? Family sharing settings didn't help me. I don't want to be associated with any of those accounts in any way, as I know at least one of them has been VAC'd in the past and I don't want any chance of that affecting me.

Thanks!

All installed games are visible *but* you won't be able to play them the button will be something like request access since they haven't shared with you.

So that being said, I can't actually get a ban by association unless I actually request access to those games?

The ways you might get banned are:
* Sharing a number between those accounts. You can avoid this by using a different phone number if you aren't already.
* Sharing a game in which they are banned (whether your game or theirs). You can avoid this by not sharing with them at all.
* Playing a game on a machine with cheats installed even if not on your account. i.e if they out cheats on the machine for CS:GO if you run CS:GO on that machine without ensuring the cheats are completely gone they *might* load causing you to get a ban as well.

The third of these is the most concerning for you. You'd need a completely different computer to avoid it entirely. In lieu of that NEVER play any game they've played or been banned in.

I know this machine has no cheats. This is a new computer I just built less than a year ago, so that one's okay I think. I have more questions, but this is turning into more of a VAC discussion board kind of thing. Thanks, man!
