Wait for Black Friday?
So there are a couple of games that I would like to buy and some of them are on sale atm. Should i wait for Black Friday, and buy them there and perhaps get some points if Steam has an event, or just buy now?

There are better steam deals on games right now on other 3rd party sites than what steam store has to offer on black friday.

Why not get some of them now? And spread out your spending instead of having a big one.

I was thinking if Steam made an event during the Black friday sale, like they did for the summer sale, then I could get a bunch of points if I made one big purchase.

I dont think you need to worry about that. If they have simmilar point system it would add upp from all your purchase on steam. Atleast what i understand from it?
I'm waiting too, it's at the end of this month (As predicted).

Always check 3rd party sites, see what best deals you can get daily. isthereanydeal.com

Or keep an eye out on Steam deals for week day/end deals, or wait for Steam seasonal event which is winter sale is the biggest one normally.

From what I understand about the event-point system, it goes like this:
Every game you buy during the event grants you a set amount of points. These points, can then be exhanged for items such as a $5 cupon, steam backgrounds, levels, emotes, and perhaps other things.

Every game bought after og before the event dosent count towards the points.

Thats what I have understood regarding the point system.

One also got tokens for the amount spend in the previous X months. And in the summer sale one could exchange achievements for tokens.

I'd expect such an event for the Winter sale, not the Fall sale. Though we'll see what we'll get once it hits.
It's everybody's guess until then.

Do you think Steam will have an event like the grand prix from the sommer sale, or something like it?

The next big event is winter in December - usually 3rd week until early January. If there is a black Friday type of event, it will just be a regular sale of sorts.

And even that event isn't best on price. I've bought a game for 50% off once on the X-mas sale only to find out its been cheaper during some random weekend sale a couple weeks prior.

Don't hope for it. Chances they might have reflect on that, and may repeat what they did with lunar, than the grand prix.
