No, old ui 100. New with all the stuff we don't need 200 to 300 mb. I stripped mine, by deleting shells and all. Which game where you running, what's your system specs. You find your specs under help/system information.

Not at all. Delete Steam's web cache, see if that helps.

It's normal now thanks to the new UI.
Try restarting steam with -no-browser +open steam://open/minigameslist

Steam > Settings > Library, tick the two obvious boxes, restart steam.

yet that does literally nothing but stop certain thing from showing up...

as stated many times in many many threads, ram usage goes up through memory leak after being open for long periods, it also goes up by the number of games in your library and the number of people on your friends list.

tons of other things factor in as well.

dont comment nonsense if you have no clue of the issues.

.

3300+ games in my library, Steam open for 16 hours now, RAM usage is under 350 MB for all Steam processes combined.

like how you failed to show the other 5 steam webhelpers..... :steamfacepalm:

steam webhelpers total 7 on my computer, not including steam client itself.

that being said, you commenting and "trying" to act like its not an issue for you, doesnt invalidate other peoples issues.

also, even steam mods have validated friends list and library amount making ram usage even higher, 1 showed 1000 games and about 1000 friends and said his steam ram usage was over 1GB.

Correct, there were 3 further down, one at 10 MB, one at 4,5 MB and one at 2,5 MB.
Does not change much.
Also i never said that my experience means that no one else has problems.
But it also shows that not everyone who uses the new library has some.
I dont, thats equally a fact like the people who have problems.

I am also on the Beta branch since 3 months ago when it started so many problems have already been fixed there over the last week or two which have not hit the main branch yet.

so your saying you only have 5 steam webhelpers?

you still dont post them and simply tell me what they have instead of proving what they have?

That is every single Steam process running on my system at the moment.

Roughly 350 MB.

Run a program that eats up all your memory then check it again.

I have 32 GB of RAM , that could be hard.

Its a known memory leak within the new Steam UI. This doesnt affect everyone... I had the same issue on my older machines (12gb would fill up) so I rolled back to the old UI. Everything is normal again on those machines.
