I would like to see just "MY GAMES"
It seems there is no way to filter just "My Games" in the new UI. It only shows all games that are mine and shared all combined. I could always choose who's games I wanted to look through before. Is there any way to change/ fix this that I may have missed ?

WORKAROUND:
steam://open/minigameslist
view only your games from dropdown
select all of your games and add to favorites
go back to normal mode
select all shared games
put shared games in own collection
games now separated

That does not really help with his problem. The new library indeed mixes your own games and those of users you family share with in one big list.
Thats one of the big legitimate complains about the new library.
In the old one games by other users were marked in a special category automatically
" XXXs games" .

I hope they bring that back for this new UI or mark games by others in some way.

Or use ready games anything that is installed or like Jaunitta 🌸 pointed out make a new category and use collections mode.

I hope and believe this will be addressed in a future update. The only partial workaround I can think for now is to go into settings and turn off sharing, then put all your games into a collection titled something like "My Games", then turn it back on.

I can't test this cause I don't use family sharing at the moment, but It my be worth a shot if you are desperate and can't wait for a fix.

So to go through thousands of games 1 by 1 is the only solution. Not going to waste my time with that. Thanks for the idea, but it's not really practical.

Op what are you asking for exactly so I can understand?
Are you asking for this?

Or this?

For playing a game, if it's the last game you play under recent then just click play button.

Or if you want to play the game that in your library, not under recent, or last game you played, right click on game, and click play.

Or click on game, and click play.

Ah, well he need to push that suggestion in the Steam feedback forum, or the suggestion and idea forum.

He can do this workaround, unfamily share, select all your games, click on the 1st one in the list, then scroll to the bottom, hold shift, and click on the last game, make a list for them, then refamily share, then you have those shared games under uncategorized, then you can just categorized them how you please.

Thank you all for the suggestions, this still does not really help in the end because I can't split up each of the other peoples games from mine.

example:

Person 1 games
Person 2 games
Person 3 games
Person 4 games
Person 5 games

There used to be a dropdown you could just select who's games you wanted to see.
I can isolate each of the other peoples games from mine.

Either wait for them to fix it, can make suggestions in the Steam beta feedback forum, or suggestions and idea forum. Or do the work around what I said before.

Your Work around does not help me with all the other peoples games. Only my own. and then the time to get each of us to un-share then re-share. It took away something we used all the time and there unfortunately is not substitue.

Like I said either wait for it, or do the work around, that's your only options, doesn't take long to family share, and only take seconds to categorised each person games.

Just to clarify, I am not talking about me and my kids, I am talking about 5 adults, all with our own accounts. Three of us travel for a living, 2 are currently out of country, its a matter of logistics and us all being able to catch up within reason. My siblings and I are all over the place.

add the games in the family sharing to a new collection name it games for Family or something.
Right click a game add to.
