That does not really help with his problem. The new library indeed mixes your own games and those of users you family share with in one big list.
Thats one of the big legitimate complains about the new library.
In the old one games by other users were marked in a special category automatically
" XXXs games" .
I hope they bring that back for this new UI or mark games by others in some way.
I can't test this cause I don't use family sharing at the moment, but It my be worth a shot if you are desperate and can't wait for a fix.

Or this?

For playing a game, if it's the last game you play under recent then just click play button.

Or if you want to play the game that in your library, not under recent, or last game you played, right click on game, and click play.

Or click on game, and click play.

He can do this workaround, unfamily share, select all your games, click on the 1st one in the list, then scroll to the bottom, hold shift, and click on the last game, make a list for them, then refamily share, then you have those shared games under uncategorized, then you can just categorized them how you please.
example:
Person 1 games
Person 2 games
Person 3 games
Person 4 games
Person 5 games
There used to be a dropdown you could just select who's games you wanted to see.
I can isolate each of the other peoples games from mine.
Right click a game add to.
