Can't chat with my friends "Failed to send message"

As the title says, i can't chat with my friends because it pops up with this error message. Though i haven't experienced something like this before. It may be because of the new update. Please fix fast. I assure all of you have the same problem as me, and not just me only having this problem.

EDIT: It pops up the error, but in a couple of minutes, it sends it to the recipient, LOL.

Same here. Tried restarting Steam to no avail. I'm on Linux if it matters.

Probably not, then. The chat is web-based either way.

Might be the new update that caused this. Annoyed especially since they removed the ability you can't chat with non-friends lol.

It sends delayed though, after 1 minute or so it goes to the recipient of the messsage lol

I restarted since I had the same issue. Now all my friends are offline. (I know for a fact they arent).

Same here. Started around 50 min. ago. Still unstable. Windows 10.

It's working for me now, i think for all of you too its fixed.
