eh...tricky ground indeed, i almost risked to buy a PS just to play it, luckly i wasn't that ♥♥♥♥♥♥... it wouldn't worth knowing that the next year new consolles will be out and if you ask me, it never worth to buy a consolle to me...PC always outmatch them... they are even with it when they come out brand new, not even superior, and they start to lose ground very soon...ofc they cost very much lesser than an high end PC... an high end pc can last yrs tho, being at the top for a much longer time...
Anyway i might be wrong but never saw such a work on a game lately... i'm speaking about all the stuffs they did and they do on their website, making it looking as much real as they can... take a look at the online game shop...
I only own consoles for the exclusives and i hate time exclusives, if i know that the game will come to PC i always prefer to wait (i know they going to get me again with Final Fantasy VII but what can we do).
RDR 2 is going to be great on PC mainly the shooting with K/M but because i own it already i'm not going to buy it day 1 and certainly not full price (not even if it's half price on epic lol), but if i would know about the PC release i would have wait and buy on Rockstar day 1 (like i did with GTA V) the game is a master piece.
the metal gear solid games ...if you havent played the earlier ones no way can you understand whats going on in the plot. prince of persia was pretty similiar.
but "requires"... thats a tricky word. requires is like you NEED to own the first game in order to play the second or else the second will just refuse to install without some code from the first.
i realize for many people NEED and WANT or even SHOULD are often confused but they are most definitely different things.
I'm also aware about people going to buy it again on pc to enjoy it in UHD even on day 1... let be honest, we gamers can be worse than junkies...
Let's not forget the people for whom the first contact with Star Wars was Episode I, or even episode 7.
And not everybody who's ever read comics had a first contact being the beginning of a saga (Or even the first number of the series)
For the average Joe, the first contact with a saga isn't usually the first installment of it.
Even when part of a saga and containing parts of a grand scheme or over-arching storyline every episode/book/movie is self-contained and can be enjoyed as such. Then there's the people whom they'll walk that extra mile to read/watch/play things in order for the bigger picture. But that's not necessarily everybody.
You miss so many good games (i put more than 70 hours on Days Gone) and yes many player's are ''junkies'' (me included) but thanks to epic and the pubs. who signed deals with them my addictiveness as dropped significantly lately, not really the case with RDR 2 but even a month is enough to not bother supporting epic or Rockstar day 1 full price.
That's true, that's why i skipped state of decay 2, and this isn't even the worst case. ♥♥♥♥ yeah i had completely forget days gone i remember i followed that game for a long time and if i had the chance i would gladly still play it.. See, another nonsense exclusive... i really do not understand why refusing to take a lot more of good cash by keeping a game on just 1 consolle...At least microsoft is taking a step in the good direction, see gears of war... and this time they published it on steam too... another good mistery here... sod2 not on steam and gears yes, from the day 1...
For me Star Wars IV - V - VI will always be I - II - III.
Sony only keep exclusives because they want to keep milking the Monthly fees, it's really sad when you see games like Days Gone being forced downgrade to be able to run on a console instead of running far greatly on PC.
I bought State of Decay 2 day 1, it's good but not what i expected, let's say you are not missing anything revolutionary.
Indeed what Microsoft is doing is really weird, nice but still weird.

Publishers like Deep Silver dont care about the Steam agreements this shows what a joke Valve has become.
What kind of bugs me is if is a prequel, why call it 2, shouldn't it have a name, or something to suggest it's before the 1st game, and not after the 1st game.
Well this what i was guessing, that's why i didn't buy it... ofc it's not the same with rdr2...
Well the point is they can still get monthly fees by publishing their games on other platforms... We are still talking about sony, probably their cut about gaming is small in their big picture considering how many other things they sell...so why don't increase it? We are lucky there are many others devs with great titles thinking differently... Rockstar could be among them, as soon as they stop dealying games on pc and giving exclusives... in the end, i'm wondering why i still end thinking about cd project as the best guys out there in terms of games, contents, dlc and so on...
