Reference #18.5f321cb8.1569785890.2458cc7d (This happens whether it is the App or the Browser)

Issue started yesterday when Steam crashed. Searching the internet didn't turn up much either. I flushed and reset DNS. Turned off antivirus and verified game caches. I also called my ISP (Comcast) and reset with no luck. (Also, put in a Ticket to Steam, but you know how that goes).

I can connect to Steam and the Forums just fine through my Cellular service, but it doesn't load and has the Access Denied Error whenever I go to the Store, Marketplace, Discussions, Forums, and my Profile when I go through my ISP. I'm using a VPN (I know I'm not supposed too but had no choice) to even login through here and post this inquiry.

Any help would be much appreciated. I know some people said you may have to wait awhile, but it's been 24hrs and It's starting to seem like it's a big deal, that it doesn't work. As it works fine through my Cellular Service (AT&T)

I am having the same problem and I have literally tried everything including uninstalling steam completely. I read forums and help places and they all said that it should be gone with time, but mine has been consisting for two days and still going. So any help would help. I had asked steam about it, and they said that it should either be gone in 48 hours, or some programs are interfering with it. I had run both virus scanner and checked my files too. I think that the problem is with the IP, but idk why.

"Hi,

Thank you for the description you've provided and letting us know which locations of Steam you're able to visit. this error indicates that Steam's web servers are temporarily rejecting the requests being made from your account.

We look at things like the IP address that the requests are coming from, the type of request that is being made, and the history of requests that have come from your account and IP address, along with other associated criteria.

The problem should resolve within 48 hours. However, if you continue to experience it, you'll want to investigate your machine and network to eliminate potential problems.
Malware & Viruses If a machine is infected with malware, it can trigger access denied errors while using Steam. See the associated FAQ for further details.
Traffic coming from your IP address Investigate your network and make sure other users are not also using your IP address. If you share an IP address, you'll want to consult with the other people who use it.
Frequency of requests being made If you are using Steam APIs or making a lot of requests to Steam web servers, you'll want to temporarily stop that to see if it resolves the issue.
Type of request being made If you are not using the official Steam interfaces to issue web requests, it is more likely that your traffic will be rejected.

These access denied rejections are automated and Steam Support does not assist in removing them. You might also consider consulting with a local IT support specialist in your area to further diagnose why your traffic is being rejected.

- I've now waited the 48 hrs. I turned off Steam for the last 12hrs as suggested in the Ticket reply. I've also restarted my modem/router/desktop with a 5min cooldown (after the 48hrs of course), and now Steam Store/Community is visible again. Hoorah!

I was able to get it working by renewing the DHCP lease of my computer.

That appears to be an Akamai firewall issue; contact your ISP about getting a new IP address since the one you were using might have a reputation for abuse.

Hello dear support. Today at 12:00 Moscow time I went to Steam, there was no error "Access Denied" Now I'm trying to go to my Steam to play, I write an error, I read it on the Internet, they say IP was banned, and why was I banned if I didn't do anything?

Hello everyone, a friend of mine had the same issue and couldn't use the steam store (but use the online gameplay for some reason, even on tf2, l4d, etc) and after months of researching, nothing works, the only useful thing we could do is tell to my friend to install a vpn and use steam with it, is the only proper way to use it until someone brings a useful help (he tried uninstalling steam, clear cache data, reset his wifi modem, go offline and then go online, but nothing worked, so the only way he could get his steam acc working again is with vpn).

Change the IP. Also don't use shared IPs.
