The steam winter sale 2017 has not lived up to my expectations
Why? why no christmas theme or hidden surprises? it's just boring and the sale prices are nothing out of the ordinary.

*Nice edit of the subject mod, to make it more family friendly (?)

All they'd have to do to please me would be to allow users to buy mutiple gifts for friends and loved ones without locking them out of their own purchasing power for several hours.

I agree the theme is boring as heck, but not unexpected after the nominations period a few weeks ago. It would make it slightly better if for the games that won awards, the award would appear on the game's store page permenently as a kind of marker. As it stands, the awards are pretty pointless as they'll disappear in a couple of weeks and then no-one will remember who won what (though I remember Skyrim won last year's test of time award, and I only remember that because I was amazed that it won it over more worthy nominees such as AoK and TF2).

It's christmas time, years before steam sales were full of jolly and fun, i'm not talking about flash sales and all that (which also was better btw), now it's just plain boring with some awards that nobody give a ♥♥♥♥ about. Also your argument of "every sale someone says this", many more people are saying the same too.

+1 terrible sale, they didnt put any effort on different looking and discounts are the same and patethic as blackfriday..... bye valve!

I am relatively disappointed. And I'm not talking the overall rebates. F.... that part.
But what's with:
- mini games
- flash sales

a reason to come back and buy more? I actually did that usually (and hated myself afterwards). I bought 1-3 games initially and then impulse purchases over the days...

Well. Flashsales pretty much died for the Refund System.

And a lot of people complained they had to wait for the last day of sales to see if something they wanted goes on sale. You can't make everyone happy.

Every time they did something special with the sales people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and whined about it. So they stopped doing special things.

People do that all the time. I personally believe that Valve just didn't want to anymore.. people will complain even when the dont do it.. so what matters..

I still say that Valve sold out long ago.. and these guys could care less about anything but the paper dollar.
