Not a Steam issue so, support here is not going to work anyways.
Not helpful, I have another Uplay account with most of my games so I need to unlink if I want to link steam to my new Uplay..
Ubisoft support is where you need to go.
It's been linked through steam. I remember the interface from a few years back. There has to be a way to unlink.

Through your Uplay account that is currently linked, yeah.
Recover the other Uplay account.
Well frick Hotsauce was right. Still wonder what happened to the account linking stuff on Steam.
There was a menu for account linkage on steam a few years back, that's what threw me off at first.
It's usually the exact same story "I don't have access to that email address anymore" "We cannot assist you further"
I mean both Ubisoft and EA have account recovery codes, but if you've never run that process or if you no longer have the codes, you're pretty stuck to guessing.
The common culprit for me is usually microsoft and their ridiculous email services. Even if you have the password for your email they lock you out until you can prove your identity with often years-old real life credentials because they somehow think there's a threat. Makes it impossible to recover passwords for accounts linked to that email.
I cringe, we set that up in jr high computer class, I have realname_187. Why in the hell did I think that was a good idea?
