Could run a 3rd party app as non Steam game, like add your browser, or music player, or something as a non Steam game, then run your game, then run your non Steam game, and should overtake what game you're playing.
If you didn't want game to show in your recent gameplay list, then I suppose only way around that is running Steam in offline mode.
But you can make this post in the suggestion, and idea sub forum.
Also if this is due to a adult game, or whatever, tbh don't worry what others think, play what you want, and enjoy what you want as that's kind of the whole point to video games, and defeat the purpose of not playing them, or enjoying them.
I want my game list to be public but not broadcast what I do "currently" to everyone.
It should not be too hard blocking broadcasting of which app I run/
Thanks for suggestion, I'll post that there...
Now for broadcasting, and getting that LiveTiles, just turn off the Steam broadcasting in your steam settings.
@CrazyTiger yes, disabling my game list solves the issue, but that should not be related as I'm happy with my public game list. My suggestion would be seperation of these two.
Disabling entire game list should not be only solution, just not to announce everyone what local application you run currently. Because one does not involve "instant status"
