Games where you build a base and defend it

[Myth]

Now it sounds like a survival game, but I'm looking for games where you place thigns down, traps, weapons, walls, etc, and gain points for defeating enemies that try and attack your base and you try and buy more stuff to defend your base.

Like a game that's top down. Once you start off and place stuff down you hit play and watch the round and try and place something in certain plots of land to defend against the enemy.

The original Plants Vs Zombies is one of the best of the genre.

But there's a lot of pure tower defence games out there.

PvZ and PvZ 2 sounds good for that. Both have an endless mode where you keep fighting wave after wave of zombies, while collecting sun to get more plants and stuff.

If that is the case I would more recommend the Gamecube Midway Arcade treasues 1 disk. It had the arcade version of Rampart on it that could play 3 players.
