"Your Tags" still inaccurate, even before considering how user-defined tags can be abused.
Why can't we manually choose (or at least delete) our tags already? :conwayshrug:

There have been many examples where the user-defined tags can be abused, but if Steam determines our tastes based on those tags (and does a terrible job of it, in my opinion) then we will have games recommended that are unrelated to our interests.

Of the nearly 200 games I own (and more I have freely), only a small fraction are multiplayer and I rarely even play PvE games. Yet this is the message and list that appears when visiting the "Your Tags" section of the store:
Steam: These are tags that you’ve applied at least once, in order of how frequently you have applied them. The products listed for a selected tag will include products tagged with that term by anyone in the community. (What is meant by "applied" anyway?)

This sounds like the list of tags ypu have applied to games not the most common tags on the games you own.

I.e. you seem to have corrected these tags on games that should have had them but didn't.

"oh, you tagged an obvious RPGMaker game? I bet you love RPGMaker games! Look at this huge, heaping pile of trash... I mean RPGMaker games!"

It is definitely the wrong use for it of course that's not what the list is for.

http://store.steampowered.com/tag/browse/#yours_14139 is the tags you've applied unless you only tag games with tags you like (which I luckily do) it's not particularly useful.

http://store.steampowered.com/tag/browse/#recommended_19 this on the other hand is the list that Steam is recommending to you based on games you actually play.

Ah, I see. Forgive my misunderstanding, and thank you for your explanation :OkaySir:
